What is a NRSWA Operative Course?
NRSWA Operative training courses are designed to provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to perform their duties to the standards prescribed by CABWI and in line with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, which requires that a qualified operative is present on site at all times while street works are in progress.
The Street Works (Qualifications of Operatives and Supervisors) Regulations 2016 introduced a revised structure for NRSWA units, with O-series and S-series certificates. This course provides delegates with O-series certification for Units LA, O1 to O5, and O8. Reinstatement using hot-lay materials (O6) and concrete slabs (O7) is not included in this course and can be completed separately if required.
