What is the CPCS Slinger/Signaller (A40B) – Experienced course?
This CPCS-approved experienced operator refresher is aimed at slinger/signallers with at least 2 years’ prior experience, who already understand safe lifting principles and need to formalise their competence. The course includes theory revision and CPCS testing for static crane signalling, awarding the CPCS Red Trained Operator Card – A40B, valid for two years.

Pass both to receive your CPCS Red A40B card, valid for 2 years
Certification
Those with 2–3+ years’ experience may choose to add on an NVQ Level 2 in Controlling Lifting Operations (Slinger/Signaller) to qualify for the CPCS Blue Competent Operator Card, valid for five years
